Surrounded by farm fields, Rosebush Michigan lies 10 minutes to the north of Mt. Pleasant and 10 minutes to the south of Clare.  It was once known as Half Way.There is an active Amish community in and around Rosebush that adds to the vigor of the village.  In the incorporated village there are about 400 people and most of them will commute to either Mt. Pleasant or Clare for employment.  Elementary school students go to the local school but when they become high school students they go to Mt. Pleasant.

The town was named after the wife of the gentleman who platted the village, Rose Bush.    It was incorporated so that the village could develop public utilities.  There are a few stores along the main streets for local shopping and several implement supply and industrial businesses.

The picture on the left is at the south edge of town looking into the village and the picture on the right is looking east from the main corner.  To see more pictures of the Rosebush area click here.
